A little-known but hilarious TV show that I got to through the bonus features on The Wizard of Oz DVD. The film of course captures the long years during which the now legendary story or stories were born in the mind of L. Frank Baum. For a TV movie, Dreamer of Oz probably had a pretty generous budget, because its sets and special effects scenes are convincing, and I can't complain about the actors or the script, which is at times very funny (the western duel) and touching (little Dorothy). It's nice.
