Kaena : La prophétie

Whatever its faults (the screenplay, the animation of some of the movements, etc.), there is one thing you cannot deny. That is, this movie is interesting. Unlike others, I did not get bored, and I found most concepts just fascinating. That includes the race of human-like tree-dwellers in a massive tree reaching up into space, the villager's gods demanding sap, the ancient alien, and all those things that are hard to combine and balance. Plus, I quite liked the main female protagonist too, which means I think that it was an achievement. So even though it has its weaknesses, perhaps even a lot of shortcomings, I am going to ignore them this time and simply declare that this was a fascinating movie. 7/10. (01/01/2017)
