David Seneca, portrayed by writer/actor Armando Riesco in an engagingly vulnerable performance, is just another New York City actor for hire, navigating the tedium of auditions and callbacks. Being Puerto Rican, he also has to deal with casting directors seeking Latino stereotypes. To make ends meet, David gives speech lessons to foreigners, all the while mentoring a young protégé whose star is rising. As his childhood mentor battles cancer, his married life breaks down and his homeland is hit with the devastating Hurricane Maria, the frazzled David gets caught in a street fight, captured on video, going viral and turning him into an infamous internet sensation.
