English Roberto Rossellini knew how to make movies and is one of the Italian directors whom I genuinely like. I haven't been dissatisfied with any of his films so far, which is pretty good, though admittedly I certainly haven't seen all of them, not even close. But this one has a good story, a good setting, and an interesting resolution that manages to captivate. ()
