A24 stumbled this time. While technically precise in its craftsmanship, and Pierce Brosnan has potential as the charismatic but disturbing doctor, it didn't work for me at all. The film, which presented itself as a modern variation and spiritual successor to Rosemary's Baby, is unfortunately a boring slog with an extremely annoying protagonist whose paranoid fears I more or less didn't give a damn about, and the end felt like a cringefest with the most banal possible conclusion.
