English Frankenstein and Count Dracula were buried, as the biggest bogeyman of the mid-1930s was marijuana! Even the wonderfully over-the-top prologue about "the real public enemy number one" is just a precursor to some absolutely ridiculous propaganda with all sorts of made-up ideas about how grass will turn you into murderous maniacs. The movie is terrible, yet its amateurish production values are downright amusing and I recommend seeing it. Anyway, I just think this movie encouraged more adolescents to smoke weed than it discouraged. ()

English I don't really know what the movie was about, because the simultaneous dub was dialed way to the right in everything this time. If the role of this film was to at least motivate the dub, it deserves five stars. The prosecutor's strident monologue gradually segueing into a defense of the cuteness of the Malaysian fruit but would normally earn it some sort of Best Screenplay nomination. ()
