English Having seen Richard Stanley's first movie Hardware, I already had some notions of what to expect from this particular filmmaker. So, with Dust Devil (the extended 110 minute version), his style of storytelling is even more lengthy and poetic. To some it might seem like it is just a weary and exhausting watch, however, others will be able to immerse themselves in the slow-moving and mysterious story that sits on the border between westerns and Satanic horror movies, and may appreciate the unique mythology and low-budget production. The whole thing has a dark, despairing, existentialist tone, and no one will be dancing around after watching this. ()
