What can keep you alive when the whole world stands against you and you are still a child? Amerikánka is a probe into the history of the 1980s and 1990s in Czechoslovakia, and it is also a purely contemporary drama about hope, separation and desire to live. In response to coronavirus-related measures and factual collapse of live art, director Viktor Tauš decided on an unusual step, resulting in a distinctive cinematographic form: Live Cinema.
