In occupied France, German-run Continental Films calls the shots in the movie business. Assistant director and Resistance activist Jean Devaivre works for Continental, where he can get “in between the wolf’s teeth and avoid being chewed up.” Fast-living screenwriter Jean Aurenche uses every possible argument to avoid working for the enemy. For both, wartime is a battle for survival. (Morelia International Film Festival)

English An interesting premise that follows the behaviour of different people during the occupation of Paris. Unfortunately, the film is nearly three hours long, and it doesn't quite manage to fill that time with anything interesting. There's too much filler and it's also quite intimate (in a bad way), which is pretty boring at times. It if was two hours long, it could have been great. ()
