The brilliant Carthaginian general, Hannibal (Victor Mature) despises Rome. Fueled by vengeance, he drives his army of elephants through the treacherous, frozen Alps into Italy, crushing anyone who dared to oppose him. I think it was sold here, and because Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are in it, but neither of them has a leading role here, and Bud is unrecognizable. This is simply a classic historical film that at least tries to be somewhat epic in places, if nothing else. The work with elephants is nice, but otherwise it's just too cliché.
