A drama from the Slovak National Uprising. In a small Slovak village a German soldier kills his friend in a fight and then spends the night with a woman in her house. The sadistic SS commandant takes ten hostages for the two lost soldiers. After the main culprit appears again, the hostages are given a cruel task - to choose five from among them, whose lives will be spared. (official distributor synopsis)
