"GONE WITH THE FISH" is an appalling comedy about trawl, hope, and love. The story takes place on the sunny island of Bornholm during the happy 80'ies, when the fishermen made the packet and where a man was a man, and a woman was a woman.

Henrik Lykkegaard has the important part of the proud skipper Lars Erik – he is the king among his colleagues and enjoys his position and popularity in the community, until crisis strikes the island and paralyzes all and everything in no time. Suddenly Lars Erik and his beloved wife, Sonja, played by Sofie Stougaard, lose their economic status, and their love is put to a serious test. The otherwise very loyal and devoted Sonja takes the helm, this together with the weird newcomer Ib, living opposite, played by Thomas Bo Larsen. But Lars Erik continues fighting for his dignity. He would rather die than ask for help. We are following the small community of the island and Lars Erik's desperate struggle for his love in a stirring story about friendship, pop music, family life and lies.
