Going in Style

Frustrated by their quiet and routine existence, Joe (Burns) convinces his two friends, Al (Carney) and Willie (Strasberg), that they have nothing to lose, so they plan a daredevil robbery in the twilight of their lives. The eccentric trio is given a boost of exuberance and energy executing the hapless caper, but their real difficulties begin when they actually pull off the heist and are faced with a new way of living. Directly following the robbery, Willie dies from a heart attack, and Joe and Al are left to contemplate the meaning of their lives and their newfound fortune.
