Poppy Field

A French friend came to visit Cristi in Bucharest. After several days of freedom and romance, Cristi, a Romanian policeman, is called to intervene in a cinema where right-wing radicals have attacked a group of queer people. The police are clearly not on the side of the assaulted, and Cristi is faced with the choice of denying his self or helping friends who recognize him. The psychological drama addresses the pressing issues of the individual’s inner homophobia and the growing intolerance and aggression in society. (Febiofest)
