Chasing (2016)

English This is a nice film for an afternoon when you want to have some fun with some relatively good action. The South Koreans show that they are no strangers to martial arts and can film quite decent scenes full of what are almost stunt fights. In doing so, the film stays grounded and doesn't overdo it unnecessarily. And there’s also a bit of humor in there.

Jolly LLB 2 (2017)

English Basically, it's very similar to the first film. The introduction is more focused on comedy, but as the film progresses there is a build-up more toward drama. However, with the trial, I felt like I was watching the first film again, that it was just a different case, but otherwise, everything else was in place, which was slightly annoying.

Railroad Tigers (2016)

English I'm almost tempted to say it's a Jackie classic. There is a message, but above all we get action and humor. Unfortunately, in recent years, humor has taken precedence over action, which is too bad, but it's to be expected. Nobody gets younger, not even a legend like Jackie Chan. Nevertheless, the historical setting and the train suited the film.

The Adventure Club (2017)

English This is a classic, almost boring family adventure about how children can find an interesting treasure that could make any wish come true. If it weren't for Billy Zane, this film wouldn't even be funny, because overall it's very shallow, and the ending is unfortunately the ultimate proof thereof.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017)

English This is exactly the kind of film you expect from India. It's modern, it's appealing, it's got a sense of scope and especially of color, it's got songs, and it's got a romantic storyline that's not simple and has to go through its own obstacles. In that regard, it's pretty average. However, it also has a social critique that slightly enlivens the film.

Isolation (2015)

English I'm not saying that the filmmakers attempted to make a completely original thriller, but they do manage to mess with your head a bit when you're not sure who the scumbag actually is. The film also has actors I quite like, such as Dominic Purcell or Stephen Lang. For me, it’s a pretty decent film for a single watch with great shark shots.

Instant Death (2017)

English Instant Death shows us one fundamental fact: Lou Ferrigno is 65 years old in 2017 and still looks very good. That the acting is worse is to be expected, and unfortunately, it hurts the most in the action scenes, which are very slow. On the other hand, compared to the likes of Seagal, at least he's still trying.

Displacement (2016)

English This was never going to be a special effects sci-fi, and instead it's all about the dialogue and how the writer/director can handle time and individual jumps. The film is very long, I’d almost say too long, but I like the fact that the filmmakers tried to make the story have a purpose. I’ll give the film at least an average rating.

The Hatton Garden Job (2017)

English This is a pretty unremarkable heist flick at first glance, but ultimately, for an independent-looking film, it's actually not bad at all and ends up being quite entangled with characters that aren't downright bad. Given that they are mostly old men, you will even end up cheering for them now and then. Or at least feel sorry for them.

The Tiger Hunter (2016)

English I thought this would be a fun film about the life of an Indian who wants to make it in America and has his father, a tiger hunter, as a role model. In the end, it turns out that it's not actually an entertaining film at all, although it is nicely absurd in places, yet that's not enough to give The Tiger Hunter a positive review overall.
