Mr. Mom (1983)

English This is an enjoyable family comedy from the early 1980s, with an excellent Michael Keaton as the father who becomes a househusband. It's pleasantly funny, there's no unnecessary pressure and there are no downright heated situations that couldn't be turned into good, as is quite typical for John Hughes.

Kidnap (2017)

English Halle Berry simply nailed this film about a mother saving her abducted son. She is excellent, believable, and not annoying. Furthermore, the film has that proper hill billy vibe, so you won't be sure how it will end and what it's really about. For me, "Kidnap" is a slightly above-average thriller.

Burnt by the Sun 2: Citadel (2011)

English I can't help but like the third sequel, and I liked it a lot. Even though it’s different from the first film, very different in fact, the opening scene in the trenches is so beautifully Russian-bizarre that it got to me. So did the ending of the film and indeed the entire trilogy, which I liked very much overall.

They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969)

English They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is definitely not one of those films that will excite every viewer, but if open yourself to the film a bit, you'll have a very unusual and interesting experience that won't be repeated. It’s an original and strange film with very strong informative value - if you open yourself to it.

Something for Everyone (1970)

English On the one hand I wondered if this was a bizarre comedy, whilst on the other I wondered if it was being serious. Either way you look at the film, you still come away with an interesting spectacle that is slightly creepy, but which also isn't afraid to show us something a little different. Unfortunately, it also feels like it's not really going anywhere.

Quicksilver (1986)

English What I didn't like much about this film was what it was actually about, but I did like the time period it was about. The film has the spirit of the 1980s, there’s dancing in it, there's a great soundtrack, and, thanks to Kevin, it belongs in the 80s. That's what really excited me about the film.

Burnt by the Sun 2 (2010)

English This sequel is much grander in terms of production and production design than the first film, but it's also been almost twenty years. You can see that Michalkov concentrated on telling a different story, even though some of the characters are the same. It was supposed to be more warlike this time, and it's also very harsh and unpleasant in places, which I like.

Wonder Woman (2017)

English I don't know what was supposed to amuse me about this... The digital special effects are garbage, but I can look past that. The story is predictable, and the protagonist, instead of feeling like a strong female character, actually came across as somewhat stupid to me. It also turns out that Gal is not a very good actress. Unfortunately, this is a real disappointment to me.

A Man and a Woman (1966)

English In my opinion, Jean-Louis Trintignant is one of the best French actors in all of French cinema, so I always enjoy a film he's in. This is also essentially an improvisational film, which only proves his great acting skills. And I bet you’d never guess that about it. He is wonderfully natural and Anouk Aimée is a great acting partner for him.

The Teacher (2016)

English Jan Hřebejk has made a very strong film that shows that he and Jarchovský have really mastered the communist era, both from the more comedic and the more dramatic perspectives. If they’d gone any further this film would almost be a horror film. This film also shows us that it's not so much about the time period, but rather about the people.
