Is Genesis History? (2017)

English What kind of bullshit is this? Is the book of Genesis really history? A documentary that actually tries to prove, through scientific facts, that God was right about everything and everything he did was good. Despite the utterly ridiculous concept, there are a few interesting facts here, but even so, I'd still prefer to skip the movie altogether.

D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996)

English Definitely the weakest part of the whole series, because there was nothing more to say. It's even evident in the way the main star, Emilio Estevez, appears in only a few scenes. There's a lot of playing on emotions here, which is traditional with Disney, but here it felt annoying to me. This sequel didn't need to be made.

Bonjour tristesse (1958)

English With every subsequent film I see from him, Otto Preminger proves to me what a great director he was and how excellently he mastered his craft, able to shoot each scene so that it made sense and was engaging. It has something of the Lolita feel to it, but this story is much more about the destruction we can cause, not to ourselves, but to others.

Where the Wild Things Are (2009)

English A film not only about human imagination but also about how we treat nature, living organisms, people, and each other. Lying is so close to us that we almost do it automatically, and then we may even pay the consequences for it. Sometimes better, sometimes worse, like the main character in this film, where the most interesting aspect is the monsters.

Fritz the Cat (1972)

English I can't help but expect a little more from this film, because I like Robert Crumb. But I found that his approach doesn't really suit animated comics, and that there are only a few scenes here that truly resonate well and interestingly. Somehow I feel like it's not even as controversial as it could have been. Or maybe I'm just numb to it all.

Victim (2010)

English The film Victim managed to extract quite a bit from its theme, even though the acting performances certainly aren't what adorn it, at least not on all fronts. However, when the film focuses solely on the trio - the victim and her captors - it's good within its capabilities and conveys the right atmosphere, not one of fear, but one of hopelessness, where madness begins to take over everything.

White Girl (2016)

English At first, it just seemed like another film from the street, but the main character is so brilliantly portrayed that her behavior pulls you in, even though it's likely to lead to quite a depression. Every now and then, a familiar face appears, which further enhances the film, especially thanks to the role they play. Films like this make you feel that hope no longer exists.

D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994)

English It's essentially the same as the first film, except it's been transferred to a larger tournament where the Anaheim Ducks could promote themselves even more. And it's advertising like crazy. But the club deserved it at the start and needed it. The actors returned in a big way, which made it enjoyable thanks to them, and you felt like you were returning to old familiar faces.

The Devil's Candy (2015)

English The Devil's Candy contains many interesting elements that are evident at first glance, but together they create an even stronger impression. It's the musical component, the visual component, and overall, it's the screenplay that definitely manages to surprise and doesn't bore. Originality in horror exists, even if it's in someone looking at a fairly classic theme in a new way. This is what The Devil's Candy did well.

Apprentice (2016)

English I liked this design. There is no unnecessary push on emotions here; it's somewhat reserved, yet the underlying theme of whether death is actually right and whether it's possible for someone else to decide and distribute it, given certain conditions, is still present in the background. On a personal level, it remains good and strong.
