The British movie His House should definitely not be overlooked just because it deals with a subject that some may find a bit too basic. There is a superb portrayal of a personal tragedy and the need to deal with it somehow because otherwise, you could go mad. The movie manages to affect the viewer in a very intense way.

The Haunting of Bly Manor is definitely an original horror television series. My problem was that it was more of a romantic drama, albeit a drama with supernatural elements. Admittedly, that suits the genre of ghost stories that focus more on the atmosphere than being necessarily scary, although I think it does not seem to work for a modern television show.

The Norwegian movie Cadaver is definitely worth watching and will prove a breathtaking spectacle for some, maybe less experienced, viewers. It has a fairly simple subject matter used to build an emotionally powerful movie, although, to be honest, the conclusion felt a bit too much in that regard.

While watching the Polish movie Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight I felt like I was watching an old American slasher movie. It is simply a facsimile of American movies, and it is all extremely predictable. Some people go somewhere to have fun and have tons of sex, and then it all starts to go terribly wrong. I am just not a fan of watching movies I have already seen a million times.

I was expecting something suspenseful and rather psychological from the first season of Ratched. Although there is no suspense, there is tons of psychological drama. Part of the problem is how the show is filmed because there are a lot of good violent scenes at the beginning, but then it trails off, and the quantity and quality of those scenes get worse.

From my point of view, the third season of Dark is very good. It is good mainly because as the last season, it concludes a series that became unnecessarily complicated, although it started out well enough. I am not sure it is so clever, although I was probably just not in the mood, to be honest. After saying that, though, some good things about it make it still worth watching to the end.

In my opinion, the third season of Castlevania is even better than the previous seasons. It certainly is not as action-packed as the second season, although there is still enough of that. It is also definitely more coherent and more complete than season one, which sets the audience up for the following seasons. It has hit its stride, and Warren Ellis knows exactly what he is doing.

The second season of Castlevania differs from the first in terms of being more of a roller coaster ride and is more engaging. It is also much more action-packed, features more interesting characters, and the main characters are all pretty good. However, there is a problem towards the end as the narrative really slows down and ends with a cliffhanger, which, I guess, was meant as a set-up for the follow-up season.

The first season of Castlevania was not a great success but rather just a taste of what was yet to come. The characters are introduced, their relationships are laid out, and unfortunately, you have to wait until the last episode for the big reveal to know what is actually going on. However, it is not until the second season that the show really gets going. And actually, you do not have to wait because it is out already!

The South Korean produced #Alive is an example of a well-executed, modern take on the zombie movie genre. Even though, in this case, the walking dead are definitely not slow-moving. it does not even matter, as there is still some gravitas because of the superb acting. It’s a real shame that there wasn’t even more gore, as the costumes and special effects make-up were very good. The movie would have deserved a higher rating if the moviemakers had pushed the envelope a bit.
