Forbidden Empire (2014)

English If it weren't sometimes so amateurish and didn't look so unpolished, it would be an entertaining fantasy film with elements of comedy and horror, which was shot in a Czech co-production and with some Czech locations. But even that can't save a strange fantasy that strays too far outside the boundaries of tolerability.

The Descent: Part 2 (2009)

English The film tries for a fairly good finale, and it's clear that Jon Harris wanted something memorable, something that would look good and be in the spirit of great Hollywood sacrifice. This was fairly decent, and the ending is good. It has an epic scope and then it's killed off by a classic horror ending, which you might simply sigh at, but perhaps you'll also welcome it with the thought that this is how it should be.

Switch (2013)

English I don’t think it’s that tragic. But it must be acknowledged that the film has a serious problem in that it tries to show too much and connect the unconnectable. A spy film mixed with traditional Chinese wushu, as well as some fantasy elements and unbelievable bars, pseudo-emotional scenes that don't have an impact, and a big production that often gives the feeling of being cheap. It’s narratively very disjointed.

Celine and Julie Go Boating (1974)

English I just didn't find this enjoyable at all. Watching for three hours a film that pretends to play with reality and intertwines various events from the perspective of two women who are talking... The film gave me nothing at all, and I wanted so badly for it to finally end.

The Walking Deceased (2015)

English Yeah, occasionally there were some jokes that landed, but it was still missing something. Just a classic parody, taking something funny from other movies, putting them into even pseudo more ridiculous situations, until it becomes absurdity in the end. I've never seen a dumber use of fecal humor than in this film, not to mention the awkwardness of the individual characters.

Chinatown (1974)

English I've heard maybe too much praise for the movie, and perhaps I'm already a bit influenced by the current state of the world, so the major revelation didn't feel that shocking to me. But it's still a great film, which Polanski guides with an incredibly sure hand to the end, and it offers no happy ending, which in this case is a good thing.

Apocalypse L.A. (2014)

English The film unfortunately ends up being grouped with the other films that are emerging in the zombie genre. It's a film that doesn't push the genre forward but rather keeps it stagnant or even pulls it back, abandoning the potential set by Romero, turning zombie films into empty shells, and it’s merely mainstream entertainment that doesn't offer much to the audience.

The Overnight (2015)

English Personally, I was expecting and also hoping for something a bit bolder than what it turned out to be, but still, this is a film that deserves at least a small applause because it does break some taboos. In the end, however, it starts to look too much like the Czech film 4Some and the ending is rather unsatisfying.

The Lion King (1994)

English Another Disney movie that is famous and yet eluded me for an extremely long time. I was finally able to see it and I could finally say that this is another highlight of this studio. The animation was still beautiful even twenty years ago, and the story, though simple, is simply powerful and leaves an impression on the viewer, no matter their age.

Teen Lust (2014)

English In this film, it's really nice how the plot is twisted and how it stems from the idea that the boy has to sleep with the girl not because he desires nothing else, but because he has to - otherwise he'll be sacrificed. Unfortunately, it's ultimately not as funny as it pretends to be, but it's quite tolerable, which in itself surprised me.
