Fargo - Who Shaves the Barber? (2014) (episode)

English The seventh episode belongs among those very successful ones. The change in Lester Nygaard's personality deepens, which could be attested by the widow of Mr. Hess and the effective actions of Lorne Malvo in Fargo hardly need a comment, it was great. The atmosphere, tension, and action were excellent, and the story gained a nice pace.

Fargo - Buridan's Ass (2014) (episode)

English This time, I didn't think about anything else but full-on barrage. The lethargic pace of previous episodes was replaced by an action-packed rampage in the sixth episode and the transformation of Lester from a gray mouse into a cool-minded manipulator. As if that wasn't enough, Lorne Malvo prepared a great decoy to distract attention and met with both gentlemen from Fargo, which was quite entertaining.

Fargo - The Six Ungraspables (2014) (episode)

English After the story of how Lester got the shotgun, the plot of the fifth episode was also dragging a little for me. Basically, everything was going as usual, but I had a feeling that this time I was missing some sort of a spark that would serve as a small revival. Without it, this episode felt slightly dull to me.

Fargo - Eating the Blame (2014) (episode)

English I really liked the pre-subtitle matters that explain parts of the story that precede the current plot. The plot of the fourth episode again proceeded very slowly, but it was greatly enlivened by the arrest of Lorne Malvo and the interesting experiences of Lester Nygaard. Mr. Numbers and Mr. Wrench did not disappoint me and I find them very entertaining.

Fargo - A Muddy Road (2014) (episode)

English The story of the frozen man opened the third episode, and although this part wasn't particularly action-packed, I'm enjoying the series more and more. I also enjoy the many debates that are constantly happening here. I'm just disappointed that Malvo is no longer carrying out his little deceptions on unsuspecting residents. I have to commend Colin Hanks for his acting performance as well, along with the previously mentioned ones.

Fargo - The Rooster Prince (2014) (episode)

English In the second episode, the plot did slow down a bit, but I still found some promising moments in it that will surely show in the upcoming episodes. The duo of men from Fargo, who are searching for Hess's killer, appears very promising, and I must praise Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman for their performances.

Fargo - The Crocodile's Dilemma (2014) (episode)

English The first episode of the first season kicked off the series in a fantastic way. The creators focused on creating a high-quality atmosphere and subtle tension, only to fill the ending with brutal action, thus setting the viewer up for the continuation, which they succeeded in doing with me. The casting of Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo and Martin Freeman as Lester Nygaard was absolutely brilliant, as these two give their characters the opportunity to truly come alive.

The Final Countdown (1980)

English Time has taken its toll on this film in places, but I was expecting that. I commend the filmmakers for the result even today. The only thing that puzzled me, given my interest in wars in the Pacific from the Russo-Japanese War to the end of WWII, was the filmmakers' "ability" to get only three names out of six right regarding the carriers that formed the backbone of Nagumo's First Air Fleet. Despite these minor issues, I enjoyed travelling back in time, not just on screen but also in my memory, to a time when I was in elementary school and saw this film for the first time.

Doc Martin - The Family Way (2005) (episode)

English From the series Doc Martin, I expect primarily dry humor. Although it was only presented in limited doses in the sixth episode, it was sufficiently compensated by a dramatic story that added depth to the titular character and explained many things. A very solid plot for a relaxing series.

Stranger Things - Season 1 (2016) (season)

English After the first season, I'm very happy. I've always liked great stories about kids’ groups, even though, paradoxically, I'm actually not a huge fan of child actors in film and on TV. However, the creators took it in the right direction, obviously inspired by Stephen King’s stories and E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. They set up an atmosphere of subtle nervousness, escalating suspense and convincing action, which was right up my alley and I can't rate it other than five stars.
