Vyšehrad - Škodovka (2017) (episode)

English Still three to go, but they're significantly weaker. It was only the fifth episode, but I have a nagging feeling that even with such short episodes, the creators are running out of ideas. If they continue at this descending pace, the final episode will be a waste! I will hope that they will still pick themselves up and it won't just be a waste of time.

Vyšehrad - Kabelka (2016) (episode)

English I found out that it annoys me a little when the subtitles are almost longer than the entire episode. However, I enjoyed the story of the wild night, and Lavi is as sharp as this oak table ("Captain, someone is knocking."). I had no problem believing Jarda's desperation in the end. "The contact was there!" // "I was with you the whole time yesterday, you idiot!"

Vyšehrad - Roman (2016) (episode)

English This time I reduced the star, I felt like the plot didn't move much, the physical tests were great, but otherwise most of the scenes were similar to the ones I had already seen in the previous episodes. Moreover, the creators openly stole from Pepík Hnátek, but Miroslav Krobot was more natural and rough in his role.

Vyšehrad - Zápisné (2016) (episode)

English The second episode entertained me even more because a quality football player is primarily defined by their hairstyle, scandals, and tattoos. I was just surprised by the absence of a Swiss army knife on the forearm, the creators must have overlooked it. However, Lavi's integration into the new team was exemplary and inspiring, keep it up. "You don't have to address me formally." // "Blacksmiths, huh? Does that still exist?"

Vyšehrad - Rovina (2016) (episode)

English After the first episode, I would say that it probably won't be our footballers' favorite series, although it is possible that Lavi is a typical example extracted from Czech football waters (and I think he is), and then it can be expected that our footballers will, on the contrary, fall in love with the series.

The Line (2017) (series)

English I'm very happy with the series. Adding up the negatives, I couldn't take away more than one star. I’m not a huge fan of Jiří Langmajer, but he was brilliant in The Line. Norbert Lichý was great as usual and Hana Vagnerová often made me laugh and managed to look good while doing so. I haven’t had such a good laugh for ages. If the creators hadn’t made some unfortunate decisions, it would have been worth a full score.

The Line - Bůh (2017) (episode)

English I could imagine an even better final episode of the successful series, I hesitated a lot about giving it four stars, but in the end, I managed to squeeze it in, despite Dominik Hašek. The whole thing ended somewhat utopically, in Havířov, all those Kyselí and Masní still stick together, as long as they manage to get the city on subsidies.

The Line - Kladno (2017) (episode)

English Under normal circumstances, I would rate the seventh episode with three stars, but Hrouzek's motivational speech on the bus was so perfect that Mel Gibson should bury himself in shame for his embarrassingly amateurish speech in Braveheart. Hmmm, so a mine sale... Well, even screenwriters have their off days.

The Line - Krize (2017) (episode)

English Yeah, that's how it goes with league hockey and football in Havířov. When you make it, you'll pass it on to someone, that's the local reality. Otherwise, well-played Pepík Hnátek, that fucker was like him for a 7-0 victory. "If God knew that someone would ruin hockey with this performance, He would never have allowed the water to freeze!" // "But I got a clean sheet, it's impossible to let in fewer goals!" "I'm talking about promotion here, dude! Don't piss me off with some math!"

The Line - Talkshow (2017) (episode)

English The television interview was really worth it, Jiří Langmajer and Václav Neužil must have really enjoyed this scene, at least that's how it looked. And Hrouzek's fight for the position of the national team coach at the Winter Olympics was absolutely perfect, that's what I call dedication. "Why are you staring at her boobs?", Denisa, Havířov.
