Biography
Kiyoshi Kurosawa, born in 1955 in Kobe, Japan, made his feature film debut in 1983 with Kandagawa Wars. He first attracted international attention with Cure ('97), which was presented at the Tokyo International Film Festival. In 1999, the director received the rare honor of having three different films, License to Live, Charisma, and Barren Illusion selected by Berlin, Cannes and Venice.
