Biography

Goran Paskaljević was born in Belgrade and studied at Prague’s FAMU. His filmography includes 30 documentary films and 18 fiction features that have been awarded at the most prestigious international film festivals. In 1995 he won the 40th Film Week’s Golden Spike with his film Someone Else’s America, and a year later a retrospective of his work was scheduled at the Valladolid Festival. In 2006 The Optimists harvested Valladolid’s Golden Spike and in 2009 his film Honeymoons made him the most awarded director in the history of Seminci, once he bagged his third Golden Spike. During the 60th Edition of Seminci he chaired the festival’s International Jury.
