Biography
Pan Nalin was born in the remote village of Adatala in India. He is a self-taught filmmaker. After making several short films and documentaries, he decided in 1993 to make his first feature Samsara, but it has taken almost nine years to complete the plan. The movie was a commercial and critical success worldwide and won over thirty awards at various film-related events. His feature films include the documentary Faith Connections (2013) which, along with Samsara, played at Toronto IFF. His filmography includes other films like Valley of Flowers (2006), Angry Indian Goddesses (2015) and Beyond the Known World (2017).
