Carol Dysinger directed the short documentary Learning to Skateboard in a War Zone (If You're a Girl) which won the best documentary short film award at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. Dysinger is also known for her feature-length documentary Camp Victory, Afghanistan, compiled from more than 300 hours of footage collected over three years.
