Biography

After graduating from the ESCAC, he directed the short film Treitum (01), winner of awards at several different national and international festivals. In 2009, he directed his first feature length film, Spanish Movie, which was a major box office hit. It was followed by Ghost Graduation (11), best feature film and audience award winner at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, and Three Many Weddings (13), nominated for seven Goya Awards and chosen best comedy at the first Feroz awards. Confirmed as one of the great comedy renovators in Spanish film, in 2015 he released Anacleto, Agente Secreto, based on the comic strips by Vázquez.
