English I saw The Goddess of Fortune by Ferzan Ozpetek a couple of years ago, and I really liked it despite the more mediocre rating, and I can also speak of a strong audience experience in the case of Nuovo Olimpo. Two men meet, have a few sensual moments together, but fate separates them for several decades. It is a film about fate and the imaginary grooves that people can leave in themselves and that can resist time and space. Besides the central couple, played by two almost novice actors, I was intrigued by the line with Titti. The ageing portrayal of the characters at the end detracted a little from the film's verisimilitude, yet I enjoyed this bittersweet trip to Italy. Thumbs up for the ending! ()
