I Am Cuba

Mikhail Kalatozov’s epic film poem shows the suppression and resistance of the Cuban people on the background of dramatic revolutionary events. It is an ambitious custom-made film, a coproduction of Cuba and the Soviet Union. Underrated at its time, this film is still fascinating thanks to its sophisticated visual solutions.
