English The first live-action Monster High movie is a dream come true. While years ago the brand started with webisodes and gradually added animated films, in the interim there was the first reboot and later, of course, a decline. In the intense period of 2010 to 2018, at least 1,000 different products with the logo of the famous haunted high school were released. They skipped Monster High at Mattel entirely in 2019, but only to get back to it and see how the priorities of the original fans have changed and whether the new generation has grown up. It turns out that the original fans are now adult collectors and are willing to dig deep into their pockets for their nostalgic loves. That's why Mattel has teamed up with Nickelodeon and Paramount+ to offer a mature feature film, a slew of new playsets (both old-style and modern), and a juvenile animated series as a bonus this Halloween season. Again, there is a plethora of it. That's why it's a good thing that the flagship of this new, 3rd generation of Monster High, is so successful. For the first time, the protagonist is Clawdeen Wolf, half werewolf and half human, who wishes to go to a haunted high school for her 15th birthday because she has never fit in with the human kids. She soon meets new friends whose stories are slightly adapted for today. Today's MH no longer offers vain vampires and superficial sea monsters, but a group that, despite their differences, develops strong relationships to build on. MH has always been a great metaphor for the real world, where the descendants of famous monsters symbolized the entire spectrum of today's society. We can have fun with the genre details and sing catchy songs, but the most important thing is the message: "Be yourself. Be unique. Be a monster." ()
