High stakes gambling takes on a sinister new meaning in this third chapter of the terrifying Hostel series. While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town. English Set in Las Vegas, Hostel: Part III has a more well-developed screenplay than the previous two instalments and offers some surprising moments. However, the attempt to upgrade the plot is undermined by very shoddy directing and moronic dialogue, which is reminiscent of bad 1980s American horror flicks. In any case, the first murder is terrifying and properly vicious, but nothing that comes after it in the film can compare. ()

English For me, between normal two stars and guilty-pleasure three stars. Whereas the first two Hostel films worked on the well known fact that the Balkans begin behind Brno’s main railway station, the third part follows the law of “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”. It’s cheap, stupid, illogical, but at least tries to surprise (and it quite manages it in some details), so I had more fun than expected. Fairly OK for a video film. ()
