Area 51 is a classic found footage film that occasionally has some neat special effects, but overall, it's just a typical mishmash where there's simply nothing to be scared of. A dull spectacle where the characters are annoying and awkward. There's essentially no story here, at least not one that would occur to you from the title, and the overall horror is really limited to a minimum of scenes and classic shaky camera work. One of the most useless movies I've seen in a long time.
