There’s no speeding up. Admittedly, Spacey does steal some scenes outright for himself, as usual, but his antagonist, perhaps too blatantly and simply, errs at the expense of the story concept. It’s alright, but lacking energy.

The pace of the second episode was a bit slower, I assume they were just setting up positions for new political shenanigans. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly entertained by the president-approved "hacker" attack and all its consequences. Very nice manipulation, and the pumpkin at the end really got me :-)
