The Truman Show upside down, in Italy. Also Matteo Garrone’s answer to Rocky :-) The director’s depersonalized observational style, where a feature film serves the purpose of a documentary, did not grown on me in Gomorra. I only acknowledge Gomorra for the creator’s courage and efforts. But Reality Show is different. It is more human and relatable, as well as loving towards its characters, while genuinely wanting to help its protagonist ... if only that was possible. The pool scene is rendered fantastically, in every single shot. The ending is brilliant. Garrone is a true artist.
