English Oz Perkins has undeniable talent for very atmospheric and chilling films, as he has already proven this year with February, and now confirms. This time, unfortunately, I am not that enchanted. Half the film kept my attention and I enjoyed the atmosphere, but then I simply drifted away. Unlike February, the viewers’ patience here is not all that well rewarded. I’m sorry to rate a film that I think is well made with only two stars, but I a higher rating would be ignoring the fact that it gradually stopped being fun. ()

English The Canadian-American movie I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House pretends to be an arthouse horror movie, which is a real shame. It could have had an interesting story focused and character-driven, however, as it is, it is a not-so-interesting story focused on the style in which it is told. That plays the upper hand here, trumping everything else, and unfortunately does not earn this horror movie a higher rating. ()
