English In recent seasons, Homer Simpson has been accused of being too much of an asshole and actually no fun. If I consider it as a measure of quality, Peter Griffin has been an incompetent and unsympathetic idiot since the first episode, and since everything revolves around him, watching the first season was an endless ordeal. Only little Stewie can provide the courage for further watching. Edit: I have just finished the third season and my satisfaction level is slowly increasing. I’m raising it to three stars and waiting to see if the curve continues to rise. ()

English If you mix together a “regular" American family like the Simpsons with humor like in South Park with situation comedy like in Futurama and add a dash of zaniness from SpongeBob and this will give you a vague idea of what Family Guy, a perverse animated series for adults, is like. Although it can be funny and the characters are entertaining (especially the family’s dog who is a bit of an alcoholic), it’s hard to shake off the feeling that it just steals from the other series mentioned and isn’t at all original. To add to that, the separate episodes are of extremely varying quality. The best of them are absolutely disarming, but unfortunately there are terribly few of them... Written after seeing the first two seasons. ()
