The Dark Secret - Season 3 (2018) (season)
The Dark Secret really goes to show that less is more. The creators have obviously fired their best ammunition in the two previous seasons. There were only two episodes that I found worthwhile. I was sick and tired of the rest.
Vikings - Season 4 (2016) (season)
I consider Season 4 the weakest one so far. I was quite glad when Ragnar finally said goodbye. It was excruciating to watch his character disintegrate. Plus, it awfully slowed down the pace of the story. After the writer got out of this major crisis, the story started working again, only to bring more disappointment in the final episode. Twice the number of episodes apparently wasn’t a good move.
Vikings - The Reckoning (2017) (episode)
That was a slap again. And I was looking forward to the brickworks so much... The battle, towards which everything was clearly heading, was a strangely dull affair, and the most interesting thing about it was the speed and endurance of the Vikings. I have no idea why Bjorn fought a bear in the third episode when he could have ruthlessly attacked it. The strongest moment was definitely provided by Ivar, I was disappointed by Egbert's ending, and I didn't understand Heahmund.
Vikings - On the Eve (2017) (episode)
After some time, Lagertha got more space again, which pleased me, as her fan, a lot. At the same time, the scene with Egil's interrogation could serve as a theme for summer grilling :-) The hide-and-seek game at the end was entertaining, and it's clear what awaits the viewer in the final episode. I'm looking forward to it.
Vikings - Revenge (2017) (episode)
The plot of the eighteenth episode was sufficiently interesting for me to be ready to give it five stars, but then came a deceitful blow from the creators and, like many other users, I deducted points from my rating because I was shamelessly cheated out of a battle. The execution of the king did slightly improve my mood, but still...
Vikings - The Great Army (2017) (episode)
With each episode, I am increasingly surprised. The events in Kattegat were mostly boring in the fourth season, but now it is once again becoming the center of the most interesting events. Ivar is slowly but surely becoming an extremely interesting character, and I assume that he will be the focus of the next episodes.
Vikings - Crossings (2017) (episode)
I really don't understand why, if the creators are capable of creating episodes of such high quality within the fourth season, they hid it so perfectly. The last three episodes were very decent and I can't wrap my head around how it's possible that a part of the series was so uninteresting and even boring. I hope that the series will continue with the same level of quality.
