The Fast and the Furious (2001)

English The story is very similar to (I'd almost say ripped off of) Point Break, but with the surfboards replaced by fast cars. Whatever. It has pace, the plot moves forward briskly and the weak plot is not a bad thing. I don't really like cars, but I was definitely not bored.

Antitrust (2001)

English A very naive and at times suspenseful thriller set in a high-tech computing environment. Those who work with computers will either like it or laugh at it. For the rest it will be an average thriller and for their grandmothers it will be incomprehensible. Long live Open Source!

The Collector (1965)

English A young psychopath collects not only butterflies, but also women. He is unable to make physical contact with them, but likes to watch them and demands their attention. Unfortunately, at the cost of imprisoning them in his home, which, as you will admit, is not very conventional, and the girl he is imprisoning thinks the same. Terence Stamp as the emotionally deprived, icy-faced psycho is superb. But what surprises everyone, at least me, and not pleasantly, is the unusual ending.

Curro Jiménez (1976) (series)

English Yeah, yeah. Curro Jimenéz, a master of knives and pistols. A favorite of my entire family and my childhood idol. It wouldn't hurt to be reminded of it again after a long time.

Les Misérables (1998)

English I don't understand why others are so excited about this. This adaptation of Hugo's novel is not even close to the one with Jean Gabin and Hossein's version with Lino Ventura. Geoffrey Rush delivers his standard and the others don't shine either. The whole thing looks more like an expensive TV production, without a shred of originality. A standard job, nothing more.

Angel Heart (1987)

English The dark journey of the private eye to hell itself. Very atmospheric, dark and depressing, and I like that. Rourke gives the performance of his life and De Niro, although he only appears for a few minutes, convinces you with his long fingernails and demonic appearance that no one would be better suited to the role of Lou Cypher. All this in an audiovisual treat that literally gets under your skin.

Chicken Park (1994)

English Yes, my friends, this truly failed parody is a clear Boo! But there is that one scene that made me and my friend laugh incredibly hard. It's so inept that it's actually kind of brilliant. Remember Spielberg's Jurassic Park, when Sam Neil and the kids are hiding behind a fallen tree with lizards jumping over it? There’s something similar here. Chickens jump over a trunk with the help of a simple trick, the effect is very rudimentary, but at the same time incredibly charming, even brilliant. I can't help but give this scene a two, although I should slap myself for it.

Fan-Fan the Tulip (1952)

English France’s acting icon in his best and most famous role. Entertainment that still works today and that Delon successfully continued in The Black Tulip. Humour, action and a beautiful Gina Lollobrigida, what else can you ask for?

Phar Lap (1983)

English The true story of a warrior in a horse's body, the best racehorse in history. The horse races are brilliantly shot. A nice film for everyone, regardless of age.

Gallipoli (1981)

English The fate of two friends and athletes during World War I. A film with an anti-war, humanist message and a haunting, tragic ending that will always remain in my memory. Mel Gibson fans will enjoy this one too, this film opened his path to worldwide fame, as well as Peter Weir's.
