Biography
Barbara DEN UYL (1949, Netherlands) studied Dutch language and literature and trained in stage direction. She has been involved with Van der Hoop Filmproducties since 1984 as a filmmaker and producer. Her film The Universe of Jaap Pieters had its world premiere in Rotterdam in 2015 and also in 2016 she has dedicated a film, entitled Tavern of Memories, to another Dutch director: the extraordinary artist and filmmaker Kees Hin.
