Biography

She studied Cinematography and Film Direction at Beaconsfield’s National Film and Television School (NFS) Since 1978, she has made numerous documentaries which focus above all on rebels and outsiders, like The Good Wife of Tokyo (1992), Rock Wives (1996) and Divorce Iranian Style (1998), which screened in the Time of History section of the Valladolid Festival. Four years later, the same section showed The Day I will Never Forget, which bagged a second prize. Her multiawarded filmography includes titles like Sisters in Law (2005), Hold Me Tight, Let Me Go and Rough Aunties (both from 2008), Pink Saris (2010), Salma (2013), Love Is All (2014) or Dreamcatcher (2015).
